DAY THREE OF 5SOS WEEK: THE WEEK AIN'T STOPPING!

Updated: Dec 24, 2025

Hello stars, and welcome to Day Three of 5SOS Week! Today, we’re diving into the treasure chest of hidden gems, fan favorites, and forgotten moments that shaped the early years of 5 Seconds of Summer. From their She Looks So Perfect B-Sides to their Don’t Stop era, these songs remind us of just how much heart, humor, and raw talent the band poured into everything they touched.

She Looks So Perfect B-Sides

The She Looks So Perfect B-Sides showcase 5SOS at their loudest and most honest. “Heartache on the Big Screen” exploded with that big, booming sound that became their trademark, while “The Only Reason” brought emotional depth and tenderness to the project, proving the band could seamlessly transition between high-energy and heartfelt moments.

“Disconnected” proved that 5SOS were more than just catchy hooks; it’s lyrically genius and remains a fan favorite for a reason. “She Looks So Perfect (Ash Demo Vocal)” and “She Looks So Perfect (Mikey Demo Vocal)” give fans a peek behind the curtain, showing how the band built their sound from the ground up.

“Wherever You Are” is a slower, sadder song that’s just mildly heartbreaking, while “500 Years of Winter (Pizza Song)” stands as a fun inside joke between the band and their fans, a moment that captures their goofy charm perfectly. “She Looks So Perfect (Acoustic)” strips it all back, the beat and vocals shining as a reminder of their natural talent.

Finally, “What I Like About You (Studio Mix)” brings the chaos back. Their 2014 cover of The Romantics’ 1979 classic is full of loud guitars, raspy vocals, and pure 5SOS attitude. It leans into their pop punk roots and remains one of their most energetic and beloved covers.

5 Seconds of Summer B-Sides + Rarities

This collection dives deeper into the band’s storytelling and emotional range. “Lost Boy” pairs melancholic lyrics with an energetic sound, creating that bittersweet tone that 5SOS have always done so well. “Mrs. All-American” is bursting with nervous excitement; the beat almost mimics the quick steps of the narrator as he approaches his crush.

“English Love Affair” tells a once-in-a-lifetime story with cheeky charm, while “Never Be” still hurts just a little bit after all these years. “Voodoo Doll” captures that dizzying, magical feeling of falling in love, and “Greenlight” remains one of their most important songs because there is nothing more pop punk than teenage boys singing about the importance of consent.

Tracks like “Tomorrow Never Dies,” “Independence Day,” and “Close As Strangers” continue to showcase their growth as songwriters, while “Out of My Limit” takes us right back to their early days, full of teenage emotion and raw energy that made fans fall in love with them in the first place.

Don’t Stop B-Sides

The Don’t Stop B-Sides are pure, unfiltered energy. “Rejects” bursts with mega power as the guitars and drums boom through every line, perfectly capturing the feeling of being young, loud, and unapologetic. “Try Hard” explores the struggles of teenage love and how it can sometimes be doomed before it even begins due to factors beyond your control.

“Don’t Stop (Calum Demo Vocal)” gives a unique spin on one of their biggest hits, while “Don’t Stop (Acoustic)” has become the song the band jokingly wishes we’d forget, but fans, of course, never will. “If You Don’t Know” adds another layer of emotional honesty, and “Wrapped Around Your Finger” closes things out with stunning vocals and magical layers that create a sonically ethereal experience.

That’s been your Daily Dose of the Sauce. Come back tomorrow for Day Four of 5SOS Week, we’ve still got plenty more to relive!
