Saturday Pop Round-Up: Big drops, bold videos, and major tour buzz

Updated: Dec 24, 2025

We have made it to Saturday, which means it's time for another summary!

Mr. Fantasy dropped the video for his new single “Wayuwanna,” delivering a neon, kinetic blast of psychedelic pop energy. It is exactly what we needed from him, both sonically and visually. The hook glides over warped synths while the visuals lean into kaleidoscopic color, giving fans the playful, psychedelic-pop moment they have been waiting for.

5 Seconds of Summer kept the timeline busy with a shock-heavy “Boyband” video and a sleek new single. The “Boyband” video was full of unexpected twists. They also dropped “Telephone Busy,” a darkly glittering electronic-pop track where the vocals punch through crisp drum programming. The strong vocals and

electronic pop sound are resonating with fans. With their tour announcement also dropping this week, it has been a busy time for the band and we can’t wait to see them live in Auckland soon. The whole rollout shows how confidently they pivot between tongue-in-cheek visuals and serious, synth-

forward bangers.

Lewis Capaldi returned in his comfort zone: aching, piano-led storytelling. He is back with his new song “Almost” and the same vocal moments we have come to love. The chorus swells on the edge of breaking, and those familiar vocal cracks carry the almost-love theme straight to the gut.

Anne-Marie and Lauren Spencer Smith teamed up for a glossy dose of sad-happy pop. They collaborated on the track “Depressed,” an upbeat song with sad and relatable lyrics reflecting what mental health is like. The production bounces while the lyrics sit in the messier corners of anxiety and self-talk, making the contrast hit even harder.

Norway’s Kyle Alessandro arrived with a highly stylized visual statement. He dropped the music video for “Model” and it is a standout both sonically and visually. The clip plays like a runway fantasy, all clean lines, choreography, and a chorus that sticks.

A cross-generational surprise landed with grit to spare. YUNGBLUD and Aerosmith dropped “My Only Angel,” a strong vocal track where their voices mix perfectly. Steven Tyler’s rasp and YUNGBLUD’s bite lock in over crunchy guitars for a throwback-meets-now rocker.

To close on something tender, Sam Fender enlisted a legend. Sam Fender and Elton John collaborated on “Talk To You,” a soft rock track. Fender’s plain-spoken storytelling sits beautifully over Elton’s warm piano touches, turning restraint into emotional power.

That is your Saturday Summary. Refresh the playlist, charge the AirPods, and we will see you back here next week.
